He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and subsequently participated in a hospital-based residency at the Baltimore VA Hospital, Fort Howard VA Medical Center.
He is board certified by the American Board of Optometry, a former Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice in Optometry and member of the American Public Health Association Vision Care Section.
He is a past president of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and also served on the American Medical Association’s Health Care Professionals Advisory Committee to the Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC).
He is the principle author of the AOA’s clinical practice guideline on Care of the Patient with Conjunctivitis and has published dozens of articles in professional journals. He has presented hundreds of invited lectures both nationally and internationally. He holds academic appointments at 7 different schools and colleges of Optometry.
Dr. Quinn is currently CEO of Omni Ophthalmic Management Consultants, and President of Essex Specialized Surgical Institute, and the New Jersey Center for Cornea and Refractive Surgery. He is on the Medical Staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
