Long is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine within the Division of Urology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. After receiving his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, he completed an internship in general surgery and residency training in urology at Temple University, Philadelphia PA. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Long’s research has been published in over 100 articles, abstracts, reviews, and book chapters throughout the field of Pediatric Urology. He serves as a reviewer for The Journal of Urology and The Journal of Pediatric Urology among other professional journals. He is a board member of the Hypospadias International Society and the Vice Chair of the Society of Pediatric Urology Hypospadias Task Force. His particular areas of interest include hypospadias, neurogenic bladder, minimally invasive surgery, pediatric urologic oncology, and cloacal malformations.
