She completed her PhD at Northeastern University under Dr. Lisa Feldman Barrett, where her research involved the use of machine learning to estimate variation in brain signals evoked during emotional experience. Dr. Westlin is currently working in the Functional Neurological Disorder Research Group with Dr. David Perez.
