Dr. Van der Werf is a cardiologist with a faculty position at the Cardiology department of the AmsterdamUMC in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is specialized in cardiogenetics and clinical electrophysiology. His research focuses on rare inherited arrhythmia syndromes, in particular catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia. In addition, he is a principal investigator of the ARREST study group and focuses on defibrillation and pre-hospital electrocardiography.
