Catherine E. Wallace MD
Urology Resident, Augusta University Medical Center, Augusta, GeorgiaCatherine Wallace MD, is currently a urology resident at the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia where she earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She also holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology where she engaged in nanoparticle-based cancer therapeutics research. She has since been invited to several universities in her home country, Taiwan, to contribute her experience to research in laser physics and biochemical synthesis. As a medical student, Catherine helped develop an autonomous surgical robot at Duke University and began working on the first of many design ideas for the next revolutionary urinary catheter. Throughout her career in healthcare, Catherine has advocated for culturally competent patient care and medical education.
