Anna L. Chien is Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Quality, Safety, and Service for the Department of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is the medical director of the Howard County Dermatology Practice and directed the department’s Cutaneous Translational Research Program for over ten years. Dr. Chien received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Chien’s research interests include photoaging, rosacea, and photoprotection measures. She has been invited to speak nationally and internationally and has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in these areas.

Dr. Chien is a member of the Photodermatology Society Board of Directors and serves on the Photobiology Committee of the Skin Cancer Foundation.
