Andrew D. Krahn MD, FRCPC, FHRS

Professor, Division of Cardiology, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Dr. Krahn is a Professor in the Division of Cardiology at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Krahn has research funded by the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Institute of Health Research, with 386 peer reviewed publications. Current research interests include investigation of genetic causes of arrhythmias, causes of loss of consciousness and implantable arrhythmia devices. Dr. Krahn is the founder of the Hearts in Rhythm Organization (HiRO), a Canadian network of inherited arrhythmia clinics. HiRO aims to facilitate collaborative research and engage patients and families with inherited arrhythmias, as well as ensure high quality and standardized care across Canada. He is the Sauder Family Chair and UBC Chief of Cardiology, and the Paul Brunes Chair in Heart Rhythm Disorders. He is the President of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and 2nd Vice President of the Heart Rhythm Society.
