Andrea Meinders MD

Andrea M. Meinders, MD, is a general surgery resident at Houston Methodist Hospital. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and her doctorate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Her interest in transplant surgery began after watching a multi-visceral abdominal transplant as a medical student at UNMC. Her research interests include living donor kidney transplantation, pre-habilitation of patients prior to surgery, and surgical education. She currently lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband Jimmy and their dog Newman.
