Associate Professor of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, RomaniaAnca Mihaela Pantea Stoian is a Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic diseases senior specialist, senior specialist in health food hygiene, competence in general ultrasonography. Since 2019, she has been Associate Professor in Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases and also the Chief of the Hygiene Department at Dentistry Faculty-UMF Carol Davila, Bucharest, Romania.
Currently, she is the President of the Romanian Committee of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases and The National Coordinator for the National Diabetes Programme, where she started to implement politics in the diabetes field. She also manages the only Romanian patient platform for diabetes education, RODiabet, and develop the DIABETA application for diabetologists. Furthermore, she is involved in scientific work with national and international teams and develops an international scholarship programme for PhD students.
She is currently engaged in new therapy and new technology tools for screening and diabetes prevention, patient education, and technologies in diabetes. She is a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, Cardiometabolic Academy, Romanian Society of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, Romanian Diabetes Federation and Association for Renal Metabolic and Nutrition studies, EASD, ADA, vice president of Central European Association of Diabetes(CEDA), board member of International Lipid Expert Panel and Federation for Europe of International Atherosclerosis Society.
She authored more than 300 papers in the areas of diabetes, nutrition, lipid disorders, in national and international peer-reviewed journals, with 27 H-index and Academic Editor or Associate editor and reviewer for more than 15 national and international journals.
