Borhani, MD, is Associate Professor of Radiology (abdominal imaging) and Surgery (organ transplant) and Medical Director of CT at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, USA. He is a graduate of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and finished residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in abdominal imaging and interventions both at University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the multidisciplinary HCC team at Northwestern Memorial hospital and is actively involved in HCC clinic and tumor boards. Dr. Borhani is also an active member of American College of Radiology Liver Imaging Reporting and Data system (LIRADS), currently a member of the steering committee and co-chair of technique working group besides involvement in several other working groups. He is also member of several Disease Focused Panels (an initiative by Society of Abdominal Radiology for focused research and guidelines on imaging of different disease processes by the experts in the field) focusing on liver diseases. He has authored >100 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 5 major radiology textbooks and has several funded and non-funded research projects in the field of liver imaging. He is also a recipient of several teaching and mentorship awards from University of Pittsburgh and Northwestern University.
