Dr. Akimasa "Aki" Tsujimoto is an Associate Professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry in the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He qualified in Dentistry at Nihon University School of Dentistry in Japan, received a PhD in Operative Dentistry and held a tenured Professorship in the same university. He also holds a Visiting Professorship at Creighton University School of Dentistry and an Honorary Professorship at Hong Kong University Faculty of Dentistry.

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry and fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, and has board certifications from the Japanese Society of Conservative Dentistry, Japan Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and Japan Society of Adhesive Dentistry.

His clinical practice emphasizes minimally invasive esthetic dentistry. He also has an excellent publication record and has published over 170 articles in the scientific literature. His research has been supported by university, governmental, industrial, and non-profit organizations.
