Colberg, PhD, FACSM, is Professor Emerita of Exercise Science from Old Dominion University and an internationally recognized authority on diabetes and exercise. She is the author of 12 books, including Exercise and Diabetes: A Clinician's Guide to Prescribing Physical Activity, published by ADA in 2013 and Diabetes & Keeping Fit for Dummies, co-published by ADA and Wiley in 2018, and The Athlete’s Guide to Diabetes in 2019. In addition, she has published 34 book chapters and over 400 articles, such as the latest ADA and ACSM position statements on physical activity and diabetes and ADCES chapters and curriculum materials related to being active. She was honored with the 2016 ADA Outstanding Educator in Diabetes Award.
